The History of the Scaent Group
2003
Scaent AB was founded in Sweden during September 2003 and became the first
company of the Group. Scaent AB’s major business is trading on the Nordic power and finance
market.
2004
BaltEnergoTrade (BET) was founded in January 2004 as an electricity trading
company in Latvia.
2006
Scaent Europower Ltd. was founded in Ireland during August 2006 by the
Scaent AB shareholders. The new company became responsible for trading
activities in Ireland, Hungary, Slovenia, Italy, Austria and the Balkans.
2006
Scaent Baltic was founded in Vilnius (Lithuania). The initial goal of Scaent
Baltic was to develop trading, production and investment activities in
the electric energy sector encompassing the Baltic States. The same year
the Lithuanian company Energios Realizacijos Centras (ERC) joined the Group.
It was subsequently agreed by the Group Board that Scaent Baltic could
expand into different sectors and participate in construction and real
estate investment projects.
2007
In August, the Scaent and Unitrade Corporations finally completed a total global restructuring, and became united under one brand - the Scaent Group.
2009
Jonas Garbaravičius, the Head of the Scaent Baltic and former board Member of Scaent Group appointed Chairman of the managing board of the Scaent Group.
