Onergo Oy
A Finnish company established in 1996 with the purpose of investing in electricity projects.
The company obtained a license to build a cross-border overhead electrical line from Russia to Finland with a capacity of up to 140 MW, however this project was put on hold for nearly ten years. In 2006 Scaent decided to examine the idea of the strategic investment into Onergo and subsequently bought the company after the prolongation of the license for the overhead line construction. This license is now valid till the end of 2010. Currently, the Scaent Group is conducting the preparatory work for the line construction, which is planned to be commissioned in 2010.
